Return of the Jeep Wagoneer Officially Confirmed | Roger Williams CDJR | Weatherford, TX

The Jeep Wagoneer Returns

The Jeep Wagoneer was a staple on American roads through 1991, when the model was discontinued. Since then, it has seen a bit of resurgence, especially among collectors and this vehicle was also chosen for the character Skylar White in the hit series Breaking Bad. Now, we have officially learned that the return of the Jeep Wagoneer is imminent.

FCA has announced that the new Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will be built at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant in Michigan, where the current Ram 1500 is produced. However, this plant will need to be retooled and modernized with those updates scheduled to be finished by 2020. This means, the new Wagoneer models likely wouldn’t debut until the 2021 model year.

More Details To Come

From a few hints we have seen from leaked design studies, the new models will maintain current Jeep styling. In addition, the Wagoneer will be a true SUV with a body-on-frame design, meaning buyers will be able to hit the off-road trails just like the rest of the Jeep lineup.

Here at Roger Williams Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we can’t wait to see what Jeep has in store for the iconic Wagoneer. Perhaps they’ll offer a special edition “woody wagon” model so some of us can relive our childhoods. What do you hope to see in the reincarnated Wagoneer?
