green drivingEarlier this month, the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit brought the reveals of many new vehicles for 2015, including what will surely be some of the world’s best. However – NAIAS also brought something else: gossip.

One of these rumors concerns the 2017 Jeep Wrangler. In an interview, Jeep’s CEO Mike Manley let it slip that the next generation Jeep Wrangler might receive a hybrid option, where an electric motor would power the car at low speeds.

Manley expanded on his plans for the Wrangler saying that “preserving the look, improving the on-road dynamics and achieving better fuel efficiency were his three priorities,” according to AutoExpress.

Unfortunately, since the next-generation hybrid Jeep Wrangler isn’t due until 2017, it could be a long time before these plans are finalized and announced to the public. Until then, keep in touch with us at Roger Williams CDJR for all the latest Jeep news.
