The Demon name was first used in the Dodge lineup in 1971 and now the Dodge Demon is coming back in an all-new high-performance model.
Just two years after Dodge released the Challenger SRT Hellcat and Charger SRT Hellcat, the bar is being raised again with the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.
“Most cars attempt to be everything to everybody. Then there are the rare few that revel in a single objective, rendering them totally irresistible to a subculture,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands, FCA North America. “The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is conceived, designed and engineered for a subculture of enthusiasts who know that a tenth is a car and a half second is your reputation.”
The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be officially unveiled at the New York International Auto Show in April. However, until then, enthusiasts can explore the dedicated site for the Demon at www.IfYouKnowYouKnow.com. There, Dodge is releasing a series of teaser videos that explore the Demon’s engineering and power, with a total of 15 before its official debut.
We don’t have specific numbers yet, but the Demon is promised to be more powerful than the current Challenger SRT Hellcat, which produces a mind-blowing 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
Here at Roger Williams Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we can’t wait to see what kind of power will be under the hood of the new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.
